The Cosmic Dead

Post by sunray »

Just stumbled upon this lot. They're from Glasgow and describe themselves as a Psych/Drone/Kosmiche/Space/Krautrock collective. I think a few peeps here will dig 'em.

Currently checking out their bandcamp after looking for an alternative to Shonen Knife's sold out gig at Glasgow Nice N Sleazy's tomorrow, and finding out this lot are playing a free gig at Mono.

Really enjoying it so far - I thought there was a chance they would have been mentioned here, and indeed there's the thread :)

Currently lined up for the next issue of Optical Sounds fanzine mentioned around here. I did a brief interview of their guitarist for inclusion. Their two albums that i have are fantastic!

We're also happy to announce that our new release 'The Exalted King'
will be available next month on cassette tape, and will be available to buy from us
at our shows on the above tour. Its being put out by the lovely folk over at Canadian
label Dub Ditch Picnic, and don't worry if you don't live in the UK, or can't make it along
to one of our shows, because DDP are already taking pre orders on their website (http://dubditchpicnicrecords.blogspot.c ... ssure.html),
so make sure you do that if you want a copy, as it'll be a limited edition run!

Quite fancy the Manchester date, nice basement room underneath a pub on Thomas Street, I like what I have heard of this outfit thus far.

I purchased several discs on the name alone, and was not disappointed!
