really enjoyed to the death of fun and this track sounds like a thumping good start, although not clear why the name changed

Wasn't "exmagician" like the stage name/pseudonym of one of them?

And what I mean by fucking great is that I bought it on CD for general family listening. But when I heard it I imediately bought the vinyl. And for a value concious fellow like me that is an honour generally only reserved for Spritiualized and Spacemen 3.

Really. Give it a listen.

Thank you for the heads-up. I love that Cashier No.9 album - I will be investigating this ASAP. Does it sound similar?

Its tougher and more urgent sounding than Cashier no. 9. But you can hear the similarities. Generally very upbeat.

This is 'job done', the album opener -

this is a nice live thing, but not repesentative of the album -

These guys are playing in Amsterdam this weekend while I'm there on my best mate's stag-do. May try to swing the stag party in the direction of the gig.

Well, we managed to make it to the Ex-Magician gig. Can't actually remember much though to be honest with you as we were totally twitted  The only thought I had was that they seemed a bit more standard indie fare than I was expecting. Some nice tunes though and at least it got us out of the cafes and bars for an hour
