I've got a copy, it's a really nice package (I got the 6-vinyl edition).

If you are new to Mogwai or are just a casual fan then the first two cds (or 4 LPs) are a good overview of the albums - there are always going to be minor tracklist issues, but I think it's a good selection in total. Cd 3 (LPs 5 & 6) cover b-sides/rarities/soundtrack stuff, again a good selection.

Having everything in one set does remind how great they are, and how much they've done. If you're a big fan you'll probably have most/all of it already, but I'd recommend it as a great starting point for someone new to them or who only has one or two of their albums.

Thanks for the info mkb. Just briefly looked at the email Mogwai sent me and I got that impression that it was sort of a collection, compilation of songs, etc., maybe throw in a live show and repackage it. Got all the albums and singles, the rarities might pique my interest a bit.

No, the six disc collection while undoubtably being a thing of beauty, probably, is too rich for me, but the cd version looks like a fantastic collection for the money,

the problem with this collection is, who is it aimed at?

people new to Mogwai aren't gonna want 3 CDs worth.

whereas big fans like me would like the rarities but don't want to shell out for the songs I already have.

the band have taken their usual care over it though, great title and sleeve.
