Rich Robinson/Black Crowes news

Post by runcible »

In a curious twist it seems Rich Robinson has put together an older version of The Black Crowes - of sorts - under the name The Magpie Salute. Check it out:

Back in the fold are old Crowes Eddie Harsch, Marc Ford and Sven Pipien, together with members of Rich's current band. I've enjoyed all Rich's last 3 solo albums and hope he brings this project to the UK. As he is a seasoned visitor to these shores I'm optimistic on that front - the 2 solo shows I saw him play were quite excellent. These guys are all fantastic musicians so this is pretty good news. It appears that the rift between brothers Rich and Chris hasn't simmered down...
