Neil Young : Peace Trail (new album)

Post by TheWarmth »

Anyone else buy this? I've only listened once, so far. The first two songs, "Peace Trail" and "Can't Stop Workin'," are brilliant. Some of the tracks feature an absolutely brutal, distorted harmonica that sounds incredible. There are definitely a few so-so tracks "Indian Givers" and "Texas Rangers," but nothing that I simply can't stomach. I love the production of this album. It really sounds great. I can't wait for my vinyl copy to arrive (Amazon offered an instant download with the LP purchase). Anyway, I think this is his best album since Psychedelic Pill. Recommended.

Yep I've got the vinyl. Agree its an excellent album, the only track I am struggling with is the clunky Texas Rangers. Overall though very different for Neil and great to hear him trying new stuff at his age. Hoping for another Euro tour this year though from what I hear he is taking a year off from touring.
