Re: St Canice's Cathedral Kilkenny
thats very cool! I just hope they keep playing Amazing Grace. the roundhouse gig cant come soon enough! Do you have any more shots of the gig?
Re: St Canice's Cathedral Kilkenny
Yes Simon i took more but was trying very much not to encroach upon the other people sat around me, i was on the front pew, and obviously had the flash taken off. So most are just random and aren't as clear as others. I sent toomilk the links to them all who kindly offered to send them onto the Spiritualized.com MySpace page.

Wow thats a good spot you got there! And very thoughtful not wanting to spoil other people enjoyment of the show, wish there were more people at gigs like you! I'll keep my eyes out on the myspace page to see if they put them up. the ones you posted here look great though. thanks for sharing them!
Re: St Canice's Cathedral Kilkenny
Yes, i got incredibly lucky when i landed that spot. And with it being all seated by numbers meant that i could spend a lot more time drinking guinness before the show and still know i would have such a view...
I hope the moderators don't mind me posting them because it seemed a few days ago spzretent weren't too happy about it. Do you mind, Mods ???
Here's another couple.

jack white wrote: that photo of doggen is brilliant. it called to mind those iconic rock star images, of maybe even jason! makes him look like a rock n roll god of guitar. which is fair enough, it's a true representation of the guy and the form that he's it. it is a really spectacular shot.

Re: St Canice's Cathedral Kilkenny
As most people aren't on dial-up we let the pictures go. They do look nice after all and it's cool that people can post them to add some visuals to the gig write ups. As I live towards the back of beyond I was on dial-up for a long time after most people got Broadband and I must admit that large pictures posted here were a monumental pain as a page like this one would take up to 10 minutes to load. I still only get 2 MB and the idea of my phone lines being updated to accomodate faster speeds is the stuff of fantasy. It's all part of the town vs country debate (don't get me started on that one!).
No one grumbles about them these days so posting photos is regarded as acceptable, providing they are of a reasonable size and not in too large a quantity. We did have an instance of about 9 screens of pictures on a single post one time - that one got deleted...

Re: St Canice's Cathedral Kilkenny
This gig was listed at no. 2 in The Irish Times gigs of the year. Just thought I'd share that with those of you in other countries.
No. 1 was Leonard Cohen, in case anyone's interested.
