It comes out on April 15th. I just pre-ordered mine.Galaxie 500’s artistic vision, visceral and emotional yet also elegant and understated, extended from their incomparable recordings to bassist Naomi Yang's design aesthetic: album covers, posters, photography. This book offers both an oral history of a celebrated band and a lush tour of their personal archives. It weaves together interviews with the band members (Naomi Yang, Dean Wareham, Damon Krukowski) and their music scene peers and many collaborators, accompanied by a stunning array of rare and never before seen photographs, artwork, and ephemera.
There's also a limited edition that includes a 7" single and a ltd. print band portrait by Macioce, signed by the photographer. The 7" features "Temperature's Rising" b/w "Crazy (which was slated to be the band's second single but has never appeared on vinyl before), and is in a limited numbered edition of 275 copies.

Thanks toomilk, I got this link from A Head Full Of Wishes a few days ago. I'm a big fan of Galaxie 500 but $65 for the limited edition is way too much for me. Coincidentally I've just started to re-read Dean Wareham's wonderful Black Postcards. This book would be a great read for anyone interested in music whether they were into Galaxie 500/Luna or not.
Re: TEMPERATURE'S RISING: History of Galaxie 500
If you follow the yeti link you'll see that there's a cheaper, "regular edition" that's $20 shipped within the US and probably a little more overseas.
Re: TEMPERATURE'S RISING: History of Galaxie 500
Thanks Warmth, yeah the cheaper version is still $38 for ROW shipping and after a recent vinyl splurge I'm skint! Would love Temperature's Rising on 7" though, one of my favourite Galaxie 500 songs.
Re: TEMPERATURE'S RISING: History of Galaxie 500
thanks toomilk, would have missed this otherwise. damon and naomi were a treat at terrastock.
I think I feel it coming on
