messi
messi retires from international football after losing in 4 finals- at 29. sad day for international football
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness
'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.
'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.
'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Re: messi
Let's hope he changes his mind.
maradona is the best ever, but there's no shame in being 2nd. We'll be lucky if we see the likes of them again. We've been blessed just to inhabit the planet at the same time as him. A special little guy.

Re: messi
I would quit international play too :
1) you got that Maradona twat barking up your arse that you don't play well for your national team.
2) taxing on the body and mind. Instead of a proper holiday he is playing on his free time.

Re: messi
a millionaire commits fraud, is found guilty and is sentenced to jail however does not have to go to jail and is merely fined less than he defrauded...the system works!Argentina and Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for tax fraud.
His father, Jorge Messi, was also given a jail term for defrauding Spain of €4.1m (£3.5m; $4.5m) between 2007 and 2009.
They also face millions of euros in fines for using tax havens in Belize and Uruguay to conceal earnings from image rights.
However, neither man is expected to serve time in jail.
Under the Spanish system, prison terms of under two years can be served under probation.

Re: messi
If they put Messi in jail they'd be committing crimes against football. & humankind!
Who does like paying taxes ffs? Big fuckin deal. 4/5billion is a small price to pay to see him dance across the pitch! You cant put a price on his genius!
You should just count yourself lucky to be living in the same era as him.
