Recurring remaster.

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Recurring remaster.

Post by niamhm »

Having bought the original when it came out ,has anybody compared it to the remaster and is it noticably superior to warrent buying again ,I must say I thought it sounded mighty fine to start with, but wouldn`t like to think I was missing out on something.

I want to know as well..
kind of guessing it´s mastered for cd/perhaps cleaned up and not the modern "remastering" which sometimes means newly mixed? (and usually fails as often as it´s successful)

Not much in the difference. I'm working from memory and haven't compared the two side-by-side, but I would say that there may be a bit more clarity and sparkle in the remaster, but if so it's not much. It's certainly not compressed to within an inch of it's life.

If you want to support SpaceAge, or if your original is shot to bits, of if you want the new artwork (or all three in my case :D ) then buy it.
