Great Barr mods

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Great Barr mods

Post by plastic37 »

Hello
My previous topic on an ex member of Spectrum promtped me to look for The Field Trip on Youtube.
Couldn't find anything so I'll put it on my list to video one or two of their records and put the results online.
Don't hold your breath though.
Does anyone know if the members are still making music - and if it's wretched?

They did 2 7s and a flexi on Watercolour Records and a final 12" with an Aside produced by Pete which they once told me sampled the crowd/beach scenes from Quadrophenia. Various members were used in live line ups of Spectrum.

i have a few tracks here of The Field Trip...

Take To The Streets (mixed by Sonic) i think is from the 12". A friend of mine has the EP. Not sure what other songs are on it.

The others i have are from a split (?) EP...

Christmas Song
Can't Wait To Long/ Come Together
One Way Ticket
Save All Your Lovin'

Not sure how many releases they had or if there is anything more out there. Only one i have actually seen is the EP my mate has.
