Re: forth special edition

Forth doesn't seem to be holding up to close scrutiny in my household. Part of the problem is the attempts to juice the tempo - Verve have always plodded more convincingly than they raced, and "Columbo" and "Noise Epic" are vaguely embarrassing for this reason (though totally listenable), as is "Lov...

Re: forth special edition

"Judas" makes the whole affair worthwhile. It's simply, purely, lovely. Honestly, one of their most enchating songs ever. Ever! I like "Noise Epic" and "Columbo" a lot. "Appalachian Springs" is good, in the "Weeping Willow" vein - it reminds me of a Gene Clark song, "Gypsy Rider". The rest? Ehh...es...

As far as "You Lie, You Cheat", i'm sort of baffled by that choice.....since they decided to rock and "Songs In A&E" isn't a rocking album except for a few songs, and YLYC is certainly the heaviest of the rockers. As people have been less than keen on "Amazing Grace" for the same reason, i'm wonder...

LGM - Shine a Light
Pure Phase - Lay Back in the Sun
LGM - No God Only Religion
Let It Come Down - Won't Get to Heaven
Amazing Grace - The Power & the Glory
A&E - Don't Hold Me Close

Bonus track: "Drive/Feel So Sad" from Recurring.

Not in that order, obviously.

Re: Spiritualized VHS Rushes

This is a load of Shite. They didn't copyright the VHS promo material from that time. My Arista Promo tape doesn't have a copyright. Re: What's on your Current Rotation List?

Absolutely not for anyone looking for an instantaneous continuation of Reed's/Velvets sweeter moments and to think in the liner notes (of the re-mastered version) he is urging you to listen on headphones! The binaural does some nifty things with headphones: the "whoa, yeah" vocals on "I Wanna Boogi...
