I know the feeling that people have expressed where you feel detached from a show and it's like they are playing behind a curtain. The music is kind of happening "over there" but not enveloping you or connecting. I've had it with other bands. Yo La Tengo being the most recent one I can re...

I really wanted to enjoy this show but it was off from start to finish. Here in Gateshead it was flat as a pancake, zero energy and very much 'Spiritualized noise by numbers'. Perfect Miracle and Soul on Fire should be got rid of though, they are dreadful. I'll just put this one down as one of thos...

I don't post much here, and it pains me to write this. My standard LP came yesterday and last night it got it's first play. Always an 'event', the first listening. However the record is so badly pressed I've only played side one. An almost constant layer of static/crackling, which during the quieter...

Re: "Everything was beautiful" - New Spiritualized® Album 2022
People seem to be referring to the new album in a way that suggests they have it. Is this correct? I have two of the vinyl versions on pre-order but don't expect to get them for a while. The album hasn't been released (delayed until late April), but some people have downloaded leaks. The modern wor...

I had a ticket for the afternoon show and managed to wangle my way in for the evening show. A very low stage, if indeed it was raised at all. As mentioned, incredibly close to the band. I was at the Brudenell last night and really enjoyed it. First gig since January last year and a very good way to get back into the swing of things. You may struggle in Gateshead. It's a shithole.
Best place if you must is http://www.theheadofsteam.co.uk/gateshead/ which in all fairness is top class and a few minutes walk from the Sage
Avoid Gateshead town centre. Dire.
Alternatively nip across the river into Newcastle.

The Edinburgh change has just meant I'm the best part of £160 out of pocket due to having booked rail tickets and hotel accommodation.
Why was the Edinburgh gig moved and was any thought given to those who buy advance rail tickets and non-refundable hotel bookings ?

Quality item.
I would suggest there is no 'right' price. Only the price that someone is willing to pay. The fact that the one in Leeds is still for sale suggests that £300 is too high. I 'd be tempted at £50-£70 framed, but no higher.
