This box set covers 86-90, and it's a follow up to "Another Splash of Colour" which covers 80-85 and was released a couple of years back: https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/another-splash-of-colour-new-psychedelia-in-britain-1980-1985/ BTW, listened to "The Crushed Velvet Apocalypse" by the Legenda...

Not sure if it has been released before, but got this last week. I haven't had a proper chance to listen to all 3CDs more than once, but there are some tracks on it which are new to me and I think are great. I must admit I don't know the original record (need to sort that). I like the overall vibe of the record, not keen on some of the vocals, but I LOVE the version of Tobacco Road. The "chorus" has almost a Spiritualized feel to it - maybe from the LICD era. Great track!

Re: The Darkside - Boxset

Yes, I contact him on FB yesterday and he's going to send me one when he gets back from Mexico. It's 50 quid for the box set and a fiver for P&P. Not sure of the complete track list, but there's all that noise, melomania, mayhem to meditate etc, more info at the review link I posted above.

Re: The Darkside - Boxset

I see via FB that some copies of the darkside box set are out there. There's a review at:

Re: Rolling Boxset Thread

A liked Prince for about 2 years in the mid-80s, especially Purple Rain and Around the world in a day. I've still got the 12" of Let's Go Crazy and think the extended version of this track is great. Re: NEW RIDE

I was thinking the same thing. I startd to put togther a list of albums that I'd bought recently for the "last 5 albums" thread, and thought that I would have been buying albums by these bands 25 years ago. Ride, Slowdive, JAMC, St Etienne, BMX Bandits, and I've got the C88 compliation on order! or ...
