Off topic, but it said on the radio last weekend that 50% of people who buy vinyl don't have a turntable! I guess it's collecters and people who hope it'll gain in price to sell later. Crazy stat though!

I went to watch the Soundtrack of Our Lives last night at the Electric Ballroom, Camden, London. Don't know why but I've never been to that venue before. I liked it. I've only seen TSOOL once before - way back in 2002 after they just released Behind the Music. Not sure why I never caught them again ...

I see isobel Campbell has a new long player out in May. I really liked her last solo record, so will definatelybe pre-ordering this. The first single from the album, 4316, is good but let down by her treated/robot voice in the chorus. It's one of my pet hates! Can't stand it!!

I went to watch the Cult play Death Cult and early Cult material last night at the Electric Brixton. It was their second night there, both nights sold out. Gotta admit I'm a big Cult fan - they were my first gig when I was 16 in 1987 on the Electric tour - but I'd never seen most of that early stuff...

Can believe that Steve is coming to St Albans on his next "Travelling Hard" tour in December. The Horn is a small venue = 200 people max. Looking forward to it.

My copy arrived on Saturday, but I was away over the weekend, so only managed to listen once last night. I liked what I heard! Loved the vibe of Mariposa. Hopefully get a chance to listen to it a lot more over the next few days. Can't wait to see them in June.

Anyone else read Miki's autobiography? It came out at the end of last year and I got it for Xmas. It's well written and an interesting read. First part of the book deals with her childhood - pretty difficult in places - and the second half deals with Lush. It doesn't paint a very favourable picture ...

New Elephant Stone single is pretty tasty, can't wait for the album to be released. Their last long player, Hollow, was a corker!

I really enjoyed the first album, and the "remix" version too, so I've pre-ordered this second one straight away. Looking forward to it. Some tidy releases already announced for 2022.
