Serves me right for being too quick. Bought the bandcamp limited vinyl and a CD, now having to back out to buy the delux vinyl + tshirt + cd from Car Park. Damn the expense. This is the first Sonic Boom album in 30 years! (althoguh I hope I don't get caught out by import duty)

I'd been thinking the same recently with regard to the relative quietness of spiritualized. Still hopefull but not optimistic of a UK tour.

I think I'll go to the accoustic mainlines gig, although I'll be disappointed if the same set list is used.

I read this in one sitting on Saturday, after the spz gig in Amsterdam. Made me wish I was just a few years older so I could have actually seen Spacemen 3. An enjoyable easy read, love letter to the band I'd say.

Similar setlist in Copenhagen. Without doubt the most boring Spz gig I've ever seen. Great show in Stocholm the day after - same set, but much more intense and hypnotic. We were on the balcony, it was a good view up there and had room to move a bit. I agree with you Runcible on the highlights. I do think the end of the show in particular was lackluster. Yeah. It probably didn't help that we couldn't see the guitarists from where we were, but the impressioni for last night was much more of a singer songwriter with backing band.

I miss the American flavour band. I still think that Hendon bridge gig was the best I'd seen them in a very long time
