Slift at Chalk Brighton. Tried to enjoy this gig,but found it all too much. Obviously 3 very good musicians, just found it all overdone in places. Noise,prog and stoner on speed. Also has anyone heard the song from the upcoming Kim Gordon album? I like it, kinda dubby and groovy. Different to Sonic Youth, unlike Thurstons stuff which while still great is kind of a continuation really Yeah very nice. I enjoyed the last album and this sounds like it might be in a similar vein.

Tickets bought for The Bug & Flowdan, Slift, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Ty Segall.

Lots more in the pipeline. A mid-May weekend of Godflesh and Acid Mothers Temple on consecutive nights is a standout.

Went to see Pale Blue Eyes last night at the Corn Exchange in Hertford. First time I've been to the venue. Infinite River: Nice bit of drone going on here via guitar, harmonium and tanpura. Two albums released this year, both worth a listen.
