I had to turn off my pop-up blocker to get the purchase completed - normally i get warnings that pop-ups are blocked but that didnt happen on this occasion no complaints about the bandwidth available for the download - i opted for 24-bit / 96khz and my DSL connection was going full-chat all the way ...

it was then that i started to realise just how amazing a Spiritualized live show could be, and thereon opened up a deeper awareness and connection with music in general from that point on.

There may be better versions out there, but this will always be my favourite.

i was there and he definitely said 2 to 3 days but i'll believe it when i see it! Im not sure he was too comfortable about being politely asked the question by an audience member between songs early in the set..... it would be great if it's true though. But the impression i got was that he didnt act...

I wouldnt say that the discs were bad because the vinyl was white. Ive got a few discs on white vinyl that all sound much better, acceptable at the very least. The problems would have been with either the vinyl product itself or the process administered. Maybe someone who works in a plant and knows ...

Went record shopping in London after work today, at Sister Ray i overheard a guy purchase the album, and it was also being played in the vinyl section at HMV. Good to hear it getting out and about!

I found that the CD didnt exhibit the serious problems that the vinyl does, so i can only assume that the fuckup has been at the vinyl transfer stage rather than the original mastering The mastering was done by Bob Ludwig and he is no mug. Well, as for pressing quality of disc 2, it's still crap in my opinion although nowhere near as crap as disc 1 Its a shame because underneath the messed up treble there is definitely a good sound. Got home to find the vinyl waiting for me, result!

Im on track 4 and Im enjoying the content, but i think this is a bad pressing. It sounds like it's being played through an old tin box :( the treble is washy, distorted and extremely tiring on the ears. Gutted.

Hope Im just unlucky here.....

i felt, that if anything, the problem with the lighting was that the audience area had too much ambient light, so you had to really focus on the stage.

I thought the lighting was pretty good during the final wig-out, all things considered.

Well they've obviously introduced a fade to the end of Home of the Brave and a fade-in for The Individual for the other side, but nothing to suggest that it wasnt done using the CD as a source. As for elsewhere in the album, just didnt notice any real differences from the CD... fades, mix, and so on...

OK, I bought this. Doesnt sound much different to the CD, in my opinion. I reckon it's come off a CD. My turntable setup seems to be able to dig out a bit more high end detail but this quite simply could be due to this being a good pressing of a CD-format playback from top quality source kit My cart...

I wish labels would be open and honest about the mastering source, I really dont want to spend £30 having to find out with my own ears whether the label have just bought a £5 CD off amazon and pressed a vinyl from it, when there potentially are in existence much higher resolution (albeit digital) ...

I managed to find a nice copy of Pure Phase on vinyl for just under £20 on ebay about a year ago, which I thought was an absolute steal! i thought i'd try recording it on my mp3 player.... unfortunately, it really is completely unlistenable! never mind, i knew someone else would come up trumps :D Agree re: Electricity, one of my big favourites but never always worked that well live, but this was superb, i think having the two drummer...

Back from the gig...... I wont give too much away - but i guess we will all be talking about it...... Jaw droppingly amazing stuff. Perhaps a bit nervy at times early on, but my God...... when it was good, it was soooooo fucking good... Coxon in Over 30 people on stage - i counted 8 strings, 6 brass...
