The Old Bridge is about a ten second walk from the venue! There are tables and chairs outside. There's a smaller bar down at the far end of the Old Bridge car park called Hervey's which is a nice place to sit out, too. If you buy direct from the Picturedrome site, there's a small booking fee but no 'transaction' add-ons that you get with some agencies if you pick tickets up on the door. Great venue too, kinda like a mini-Manchester Apollo. :D

On train home from gig. Typical MCR Academy gig; crap sound, audience talking loudly and a total absence of atmosphere. The sound at the Apollo isn't bad........... well, as long as you get a seat in the stalls that ISN'T under the bloody balcony! The seats right at the back are blessed with worse acoustic qualities than my underpants.
