Yes he used to use a HH VS Musician Combo with the logo stencilled on in silver. The panel behind the the controls light up.

I still have a VS musician head.....

Re: brighton corn exchange

Felt like the loudest Spiritualized show I've ever been to, or maybe I forgotten what they used to be like... ? I thought it was an incredible show, a real step up from the past few I've seen.... I really love the new album so a SHSL heavy set is fine by me, and a nice mix up of the oldies (with som...

*Spoiler Alert* Well.. 'Hey Jane' + those strobes made for one hell of an opener... I was thinking "this is gonna be the best show in ages". Then I got distracted by the drunken loons who took out most of the second row with their over the top dancing during "She Kissed Me...." (...

Re: Stone Roses to reform

i know it aint such a big deal, I DEFINATELY wont go to the gigs, i may be tempted to buy the record tho, im just pissed off that they have fucked up their "legacy" big time, same as the Pistols, in my opinion probably the purest, unsullied band of all time, (one f**king brilliant lp then...

Re: where did you come in?

A friend recommended LGM which I loved, so he kindly bought me a ticket for the Shephards Bush Empire show in February 1995..... I was seriously blown away by the show, like nothing I'd ever seen before. The singer was so cool and didn't talk between songs, you could barely see the band for the smok...

Re: Royal Albert Hall, October 11th, 2011.

When the show was announced the "career spanning set" mention actually put me off getting a ticket. Over the years I've heard most of the songs I'd want to hear and you kinda know what you're gonna get. I was also at the last RAH show and questioned whether it could be better... Then when ...

10mins ago I bought an arena standing ticket from the RAH box office.... Seems like there were more than one there as well.. Worth a shot if anyone else like me was leaving it too late to decide.

The thought of not going just got too much....

Re: Old Spacemen 3 Live Photos

Does anyone recognise the bass amp in between the Fender head and the folded 'W' horn cab? It's reminiscent of an old solid state Acoustic model I think, assuming that image is flipped and the 5 band eq is actually on the right hand side. Interesting to see Jason using what appears to be an HH VS 2...

Cool thread, just so happens I've only really discovered Levitation this month after being a 'House of Love' fan for years and years... Anyhow, I bought 'Need For Not' & 'Cotterie' on CD and then downloaded the 9 Musocity Bickers 'Meanwhile Gardens' tracks and am totally blown away by them.. esp...

No, not really. I listened to it the other night for the 2nd time in 12 years and I didn't think the multi tracked vocals worked as well together (but that's probably just me). I guess over the years I've come to love way those lyrics & vocal lines interwine......... ;) I seem to remember readin...

Thanks, I'll spend the morning hunting for something... unless anyone else can help....

It's strange as I've downloaded the gig as a whole and unzipped the file into the seperate tracks... every other track plays fine through mediaplayer/realplayer...

I'll get there...

Agree with Jesus Son.... Guitars, Farfisa & Brass coming in way too loud at times (or not loud enough in others) and being dragged back down quickly which made it sound worse.. It was the first time I've ever seen an album played as a whole and it confirmed to me that half the fun of a gig is an...

Past UK Tour Dates??

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a list of tour dates from 1995 onwards??? I'm being a bit of a trainspotter and trying to work out what shows I've been to since I first saw them on the Pure Phase tour.

Cheers

I could be wrong.
They played this at The Astoria the day the album came out, the only time I've heard it live. I'm looking forward to hearing Cool Waves & Stay With Me... these are the ones I've never heard live. :)

Re: 'Borrowed Your Gun' question

I'd read an interview recently with J in which he said the lyrics to this song were a metaphor. I can't remember the exact explanation but it was something along the lines that the character in the song was trying to break his family ties. Trying not to become what was expected of him and not become...
