I was really hoping for a bit of a change of set list for their show at the Brighton Festival next month but I think I’m kidding myself really. I expect it’s not going to be that dramatically different considering last night’s setlist is almost exactly the same as when I last saw them in Brighton t...

Re: Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Edinburgh 20th Sept 2021

So just over a week ago I had the absolute pleasure of seeing them live in the Edinburgh Playhouse. What a gig! First live music in 19 months - it surely felt a lot longer that that. It was beautiful, intense, very emotional and pretty much amazing. I’m glad that Nick and Warren were able to have a...

Re: Aquarium Drunkard Interview / New Album

I would've thought standard tour dates must make money. I was also fully expecting a UK tour after the Apollo show, but at the last minute decided I'd go to the Apollo anyway. So glad I did. And frustrated to see that North America then got a full tour. Fingers crossed for a new album and supporting...

Re: *** Spaceman Reissue Program ***

"Good Times," which is the last track on side C of Pure Phase , has the most atrocious inner groove distortion I have ever heard throughout about the last 30 seconds of the song. I can't believe the engineer who cut this was ok with that. It sounds terrible. I have tried three copies of t...

Re: *** Spaceman Reissue Program ***

By the way, want to know how time flies, and how timeless Pure Phase remains? The gap between its release and today is the same (26 years) as the gap between the release of The Beatles' Abbey Road and that of PP... That certainly puts it into perspective! It's funny how you think about these things...

Re: *** Spaceman Reissue Program ***

in terms of the glitch, I was talking about the CD glitch back in the day on the original LGM. no idea what glitches are or aren't there now! And day to day Spotify is just so convenient. If I'm really 'listening' to an album, I'll defer to the CD. And vinyl would probably just have been a first li...

Re: *** Spaceman Reissue Program ***

see I would say that all those issues are why CDs are better.. but the initial CD did have that glitch as well! I'd agree that that german site looks legit, but why not wait until the official announcement anyway? if LGM was announced in Feb for Apr release, then the PP announcement shouldn't be to...
