Re: *** Spaceman Reissue Program ***

I can only add my agreement to everyone who speaks so highly of Vinyl Me Please pressings (ESPECIALLY the LAGWAFIS one), which bodes really well for these reissues. I should point out though: often VMP has its own variation of other widely-released records, but I’m not sure that VMP’s pressing of LG...

Sault have been an utter revelation for me. Re: After show party 'society' pics

"DJ No.1" is priceless! I wonder if he was like some kind of Smashy & Nicey / wedding DJ. *muffled jabbering* Ladeezangennulmen giveitupfor Jayspaceman! Now, a classic from the 60s, it's Hi Ho Silver Lining! Shabba!" At which point Jason slides across the floor on his knees.

Re: live bootlegs

MASSIVE thanks to the people who made the effort to record and share the recent shows. I know I'm not the only one who appreciates it hugely.

Re: Royal Albert Hall, October 11th, 2011.

It's been really interesting to read everyone's differing opinions about the show. I like the point that someone made about how in 6 months time, a lot of people who didn't like the main set of new material will be telling others about how they got to see the new album live at the Royal Albert Hall....

Re: Edinburgh 9th Oct 2011 - CONTAINS SPOILERS

My brief thoughts on tonight's show: - Sat upstairs at the front of the balcony for the first time at Queen's Hall and I'm so glad we did. a) I'm too old for this standing around business. b) A great, unimpaired view of the whole band. c) Avoiding the long-haired c*nt near the front who was causing ...

Re: film scores and soundtracks

The soundtrack/score to Duncan Jones' "Moon" by Clint Mansell is a personal favourite. Isaac Hayes' "Shaft" is wonderful too. In terms of soundtrack albums comprising a compilation of songs, I'd recommend "City Of God", "Trainspotting" and "Slumdog Millio...

Re: Best opening 3 tracks on an album?

As soon as I saw the thread title, LAGWAFIS sprang to mind. It's three amazing songs, played together as one stunning suite of music, and forming the first quarter of my favourite album ever made. My other suggestions: Daft Punk - "Homework". Daftendirekt - Revolution 909 - Da Funk. U2 - &...

Re: UK Shows

Incidentally, has anyone successfully obtained Edinburgh tickets yet? Do they go on sale at 9am? The link on the Queens Hall website still doesn't work, and the show is not appearing on the PCL Presents site that the gigs page links to... EDIT: The Queens Hall box office doesn't open until 10am, may...
