£30 is a double vinyl record. I've been a completist and a strong supporter of buying hard copies of bands I love. There's been no redress over the shambolic and patchy reissue vinyl - some great and some unplayable. £30 for a 12" is just nuts. Surely there has to be some sort of compromise bet...

Thanks for sharing these. very dubious about the theory that the opening dialogue snippet comes from Kate's 'rejection voicemail'. That makes so sense whatsoever. Never heard anyone say that.

I've just received my Rough Trade version, and feel a bit ripped off. It's not a different sleeve at all, just a badly folded piece of card that doesn't even fit all the way around the LP sleeve.
Oh, sweet Jesus I've ordered this too. It sounds shite and not as advertised at all.

Latest update from the UK SPZ store is my faulty black L&G can't be replaced as they are not getting any more so will be refunded. The faulty blue version will be replaced but there's still no stock yet.

For any trivia nerds on here, L&G is at no. 43 in British album charts this week, and no. 11 on the Scottish album chart, kept out of the top 10 by Low.
Possibly down to about 200 of us buying multiple copies in the hope we find one that's not fucked?

Also with ladies and gents, can i ask if the issues people are having is with the blue version. Anyone got the black version? Both my blue and black versions have the issue with Cop Shoot Cop. Contacted the official store today and the came back very quickly with the offer of a refund or replacement.

The blue vinyl has been delivered this morning - will give it a listen today...

Same issue with the blue vinyl. Even after a clean it's still noisy. The end of Cop Shoot Cop is ruined.

Ok, just listened to it. My black vinyl sounds like the VMP issue but with loads of added surface noise. Even after a clean it's very intrusive.

My burning question is whether it's the same version as the VMP one. For no other reason than hoping more people getting to hear just how incredible that VMP issue was.
Just checked the run out groove - the same marking as the VMP version (it even has VMP marked on it).

GITD (UK) has way more surface noise than LGM and the VMP LAGWAFIS but still sounds really good. Great bass where it should be and sounds like it was recorded yesterday. I think the black vinyl will sound better when that arrives. Really high quality packaging once again.

I was made redundant after 23 (yep, count them) years at Aon. Took me 6 months to find a new job but had a decent package to tide me over. My new role is just fantastic. The entire process is a rollercoaster of emotions. All the best.

The original mail order cd's don't have a barcode on the back. I think there was a repress which had the barcode. I was lucky enough to be in London to pick up a vinyl promo with a badge attached "summer '93 fucked up inside".

They used a track off Let it come down - can't remember which one and Cool Waves instrumental.

They used it as a backdrop for a feature on Rudyard Kipling with John Craven in a small hand-powered steamer boat.

Very odd, but brightened up my Sunday evening.
