£30 is a double vinyl record. I've been a completist and a strong supporter of buying hard copies of bands I love. There's been no redress over the shambolic and patchy reissue vinyl - some great and some unplayable. £30 for a 12" is just nuts. Surely there has to be some sort of compromise bet...

Beck - Brixton Academy. Bought the tickets back in 2020 but.. I bought them because my kid loved Colors as much as me. So last week I took her up to Brixton (she was a little nervous) and watched a stunning 48 song long set by a very tight band. At one point Beck asked if he could play one of his fa...

I'm sure I read Kate went out and phoned the line in from a pay phone and did multiple takes. Thanks for sharing these. very dubious about the theory that the opening dialogue snippet comes from Kate's 'rejection voicemail'. That makes so sense whatsoever. Never heard anyone say that.

First listen tonight - some call backs to previous records, which I really like. Euphoric, would be the one word I would describe this record. I'm not 100% sure that ANH suffered from budgetary issues but EWB sounds like they fucking let it rip in the best way. I've always loved it when SPZ go nuts ...
