Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs - Feed the Rats

Aside from Om and Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, I don't listen to many heavy/stoner type bands, but I do like this group.

Re: Chris Squires, bassist for Yes, Dies.

There are plenty of great albums that fall under the "prog" umbrella. Yes- Yes Album, Fragile, Close To The Edge, Going For The One. I wouldn't hesitate to add Yes (debut), Time And A Word , Tales From Topographic Oceans (one of the greatest and most confounding musical trips I've ever be...

Re: Chris Squires, bassist for Yes, Dies.

I only have another few of their albums and don't feel the need to fully explore the murky 'bloated prog dinosaur' depths of their huge discography, but 'Close To The Edge' and 'The Yes Album' are undeniably magnificent albums. There is a new HBO documentary on the craziness, where they reportedly had to hire 160 lawyers just in order get a release approved.... HBO has scheduled Going Clear to air on March 16th. Producer Alex Gibney has said the "160 lawyers" story is an exaggeration: https://www.youtube...

Re: new BRMC album due in March

I don't know why they have to make their return sound like anything more than what it is....a return. At first, I thought the voice over for the video above was a joke. After watching part 2 of this "series," I now feel certain that it's not.

Re: What Are You Listening To Now?

the new SoftPack elpee.....its very good. I loved their first album but I was concerned about this new one after hearing the three "preview" tracks: Saratoga, Tallboy & Bobby Brown. It seemed as if they (or the record label) went out of their way to pick songs that sounded little like...

I knew Mark. Back in the 1990's and early 2000's, we attended a few Spiritualized shows together. It's sad, but actually quite appropriate that I found out about his death on a Spiritualized forum. Yes, Steve, you were kindred spirits. He would have been touched by your response. Thanks toomilk for ...

If you have access to the book The Wreckers Of Civilization, by all means read it. It will help you understand and appreciate their art and intent.
