Re: Record Store Day 2013
Really disappointed this year, scored a big fat zero - and then go home check eBay and bastards selling on there for stupid prices (not the first year). I know you can't stop this happening but it really does wind me up especially when there's only one store in the whole of the second city of the UK...

Re: What gigs have you just been to?
Yes, I think it's down to subjectivity and its always a ripe old chestnut..... Don't get me wrong, the band have a considerable amount of great material and, in other times I've seen them, have really ripped the place up. Birmingham's a funny ol' place for gigs, the crowd are sometimes up, other tim...

Re: What gigs have you just been to?
Re BRMC Birmingham Institute Hmmmmm, gotta disagree with ya there. I've seen BRMC some 20+ times over the years and Tuesdays gig for me was a mess. I thought the set last was totally disjointed and lacked any reason or fluidity and for me (and some others I was with who are long time followers) it s...

Re: New Sonic Cathedral EP
In the same boat here damn it!
Since reading about it from the original post, I saved it to my favourites and thought 'I'll order that soon" and by the time I came to, despite looking at it many times, I didn't, then it sold out. Grrrrr

Re: Single greatest gig you ever saw. ONE only, no runners-u
Blimey - that bought back some memories and a strange coincidence I was at the Lamefest too having driven down from Brum with a few mates. We were fairly hungover after being out the night before but added to it with the cheap swill served in the venue. During the previous nights shenanigans, I 'lib...

Re: Sonic Starstreamer..
Good article, thanks for the link - I've seen those Marshall's go for quite a few quid I've got an Fy-1 shin-ei wedge, badged up as a kimbara (hitch is common with many Japanese instruments, multi badging), sounds like an absolute beast of a chainsaw. Also in the 'collection' is a series 2 Big Muff,...

Finally bothered to re-register for the site after years of viewing as a guest, anyway...... As a long time lover and collector of Vox guitars, this has just popped up on eBay which will get your juices flowing; eBay number 200887537810 Seems like it does exist after all! Looks tasty aswell (and no,...
