Re: UK Shows

At last some good news re gigs, what with the shifting of the manc date to a sunday, the roundhouse gig being on a Monday and the vinyl pressing issue I was beginning to lose the will, but this great news - the Leeds date is on a saturday and its my birthday. Get in.

Got to say this does look pretty good. It'll be excellent.

Still getting over the date for the Roundhay House gig, a monday night!! Why couldn't have just been on the saturday?

Re: Mastering/Pressing

Using Project RPM 5 turntable, Monitor Audio BX6 speakers, blah blah, The album sound is rotten, half the range isn't there. Like listening to bi wired speakers with only two wires plugged in. I actually thought this was the problem the first time I put on the 7" Vinyl is not cheap to manufactur...

Re: Spiriitualized gig, March Manchester academy

We'll be there, coming across from Leeds. Must be I think approaching my 50th Spz gig (though my memory of where and when is very very fuzzy these days)

I have high hopes, though doubt I'll be high. Lets hope it comes down in sheets.

Re: More Ebay madness

Nope - just a comment on the staff. Seen the poster elsehere agree its not worth the money. The one guy in there in particular is a proper tool. If you're ever bored ring them up and ask him to check for specific pieces of vinyl downstairs.

Re: More Ebay madness

Relics has had that poster up for years - its not all that bad but I refuse to even consider purchasing it because of my dealing with the staff. The blonde haired guy its decent but the other guy is one obnoxious twat and he's slowly turning into an Orc

Re: The Big Chill

Definately agree on the big chill, never been before but will be there next year. Was well chuffed when I heard they were on the bill, but they didn't get going until Good Dope. Still, standing in a field watching them off my rocker brought some memories - even if it was for just 30 mins.

The Big Chill

Just wondered if anyone saw the gig and had any thoughts. Quite a strange one, few sounds issues through out. More concerned about the watered down treatment on a couple of the songs (walking with jesus, think I'm in love) but this could have been due to the dodgy sound on the main stage. They reall...

As far as I'm concerned more professional footage of the 1993 gig is as close to holy grail as you can get. The orig Glasto video has about 2 mins of, I think Smiles, so I imagine it will just be the full song. Anything more than that will have me leaping around the room. It was an incredible perfor...

Last night was such an awesome gig, crystal clear sound especially on Jason's guitar. Feel so sad, amen, think I'm in love, cool waves were all so beautiful it was also great to acoustic versions of tracks from Let it come down which might even sound better stripped down. The highlight for me though...

Does anyone have a boot of the 2ND York Fibbers gig from March 2004, I've got an excellent copy of the first show from that day (which I could trade). Was listening to it last night and realised its not the gig I was at!!

I reckon you could do a dvd box set just of the glasto's 92/93/94/98/ especially, but just clips from the 2002 and 2004 performances. I'd rate the performances from 1993 and 1994 as being the very VERY best from the band and I know Jason has gone on record as saying the same. They were blistering. I still haven't seen anything 10 yrs on that can really compair with those shows (though Fibbers pm isn't too fair off). I can't believ...

Just keep trying the 0115 number and hitting redial. Don't even bother with the 'official' 0870 line its blocked up. You will eventually get through. There were posts on the Glastors website at 5am this morning from people who'd got through that way. It'll ring for 5-10 mins but eventually it'll pic...

Many thanks

I'd be very interested in a copy if there's one going - though I'm unsure how to get a CD-r to you without your address! I got the phone call at 2pm offering me the tickets to the gig, got there and my name wasn't down! Had to get the manager from inside to help get the two of us in.

I think I'm going to have to agree with you, it was absolutely stunning - Jason dropping 'all I need's a little bit of love to take the pain away' completely did me in.
