Re: What gigs have you just been to?

New Candys at the Hope and Ruin Brighton . Really like this venue, probably half the capacity of The Haunt nearby, and easier to move around the venue upstairs . No heaving crowd , but enough to make it a great evening for all . Vinyl Staircase kicked the evening off with some psych jangling guitars...

Moon Duo at The Haunt Brighton. Wow ! what a fantastic night. I managed to get up the front for this one, which obviously makes all the difference to the atmosphere, but they were just brilliant. The sound is so hypnotic and the light show gets better each time I've seen them. It will take a very go...

Moonlandingz at The Wedgewood rooms Portsmouth. Loved this lot at LPF last year, being a big fan of The Fat White Family, but I think The Moonlandingz are a step up on the surreal ladder. Re: RIP Chuck Berry

Chuck Berry an Icon when the word is thrown around to people not deserving, the man was a total Icon. Can't imagine Rock and roll without him . Another greatly influential musician gone. Such a defined guitar style and so many songs.
R.I.P. Mr Rock and roll.

Re: What gigs have you just been to?

Cat Power at Concorde 2, Brighton. I'm a sucker for Chans songs and beautiful vocals, and would probably go to see her each time she visits the country. Some old songs, some covers and some crazy chat, but the voice gets me every time. Her live shows can be pretty erratic at times with her issues of...
