Re: What gigs have you just been to?

Really great set by The BJM at the O2 Forum London. Loads of Byrds style sounds and some wonderful wall of sound guitars at the very end of the set. I think I counted 7 guitars at one point. The sound was just so crystal clear. Anton seemed really up for the evening and was very appreciative of the c...

Wilko Johnson RIP

Wilko Johnson, one of the finest rythm and blues and pub rock guitarists that I've seen in my lifetime. It was difficult to see how he managed to get the sounds he got from his guitar whilst you watched him.
Fronting with Lee Brilleaux in Dr Feelgood a class act.
RIP Wilko Johnson.

It's hard to get excited about this World Cup. From the moment Qatar started their bid the dodgy goings on began and there's little doubt in my mind - and many others - that it was all done in secret meetings with many brown envelopes and such like changing hands. The fact one of the biggest sporti...

Rose City Band at 9294 Hackney. Bit of a nightmare getting to Hackney and back due to a fire somewhere on the overground . Well worth the trip. Country with lots of psych sounds. Really up for it crowd too.
