Re: *****BEWARE SPACEMEN 3 FANS *******
I mentioned on the Geneva cd thread that the evil baldy c*nt is selling T-Shirts but the f*cker is also selling vests and long sleeve T-Shirts. It's all on ebay. It's a shame Silk Road is now defunct, I can think of something that could be bought for hire.

Re: Spacemen 3 Live at the New Morning, Geneva,Switzerland
While we wait for an update, I wonder what the story is with these re-issues: https://www.normanrecords.com/records/159035-spectrum-live-chronicles-volume-1- https://www.normanrecords.com/records/159036-spectrum-live-chronicles-volume-2- The timing is interesting, to say the least... I've just call...

Re: Spacemen 3 Live at the New Morning, Geneva,Switzerland
Will this crook stop at nothing? There are Spacemen 3 T-Shirts on ebay (surprise, surprise) which are being sold as 100% official. One is the pyramid symbol and the other is a mock up of the Playing With Fire cover. I enquired with the vendor who was not listed as Space Age or Adasam for extra info ...

Re: Desert Island Discs ...
I'll have to come back to this thread later with a real list but if I had to choose 1 bit of vinyl it would have to be the 12" See For Miles sampler for the Tonight Let's All Make Love In London album with The Floyd's 16 minute Interstellar Overdrive and Nick's Boogie with the bonus of David Ho...

I was in HMV in Newcastle and spotted a copy of this CD on the racks.

A superb piece which strengthens an already brilliant album (maybe my favourite). Thanks for bringing it to this forum. An extra few listens on repeat to follow.

Re: Levitation
I quite like it. I was very surprised that bits of it remind me of XTC or (sorry about this) prog. I clearly never was subjected to a final mix. I wonder how fantastic it might have been in the hands of an appropriate/sensitive producer. Well worth buying anyway.... Must say I always found Levitati...

Re: What gigs have you just been to?
I really enjoyed Warm Digits last Friday in Newcastle at a very small packed venue. The surprise however was the support band Parastatic who since I last saw them have a drummer which added a real power to their sound.

Re: What Are You Listening To Now?
Has anybody heard the new EL;BL, Into Forever? Playing it now...a real mix of uptempo and chilled out ambient numbers. Really enjoying it. Yes it's been getting a thrashing in my humble abode too. A little more mellow than I was expecting but still very good and the opener has plenty of force which...

Harvey Mandel - "Games Guitars Play" Great guitar player from Chicago who eventually joined Canned Heat. I love his first two solo albums, found this third solo recently in cheap bins and have been really enjoying it. His version of "I Don't Need No Doctor" is clearly the templa...

Re: Britpop spleen x 20
The whole Britpop thing seemed to me to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Yes, as already mentioned the grunge scene was way past it's sell by date and a lot of mediocre indie bands were finished when Oasis came along and rightly so but a lot of good stuff was criminally ignored if they weren't...
