Great research going on here!
Probably stating the obvious that some similarities with Terry Riley
I remember the Jason interview now re Eno/Broken Heart. I always wondered if that was why the bluesy harmonica intro is used, even when there are strings available e.g. RFH in November.

Re: Brown Rice
Glad people like it; one of the YT comments says the melody is based on a mantra. I don't know if that's true but it has something. Someone on the site said that Jason's music has a healing quality to it, and the best of it definitely does for me.

I could tell KB on drums but was a bit far away to id the others except Doggen. Should have gone to sp...

Re: Wilco - free album

Stranded in Canton

What with the Kenzo track, Jason seems to be on a roll at the moment... http://thebluemoment.com/2015/07/0...

Something Understood
Insomnia led me to R4 at 6am Sunday morning, to hear John McCarthy investigating the phenomena of agony turning into euphoria, and his own dreadful/ecstatic experience as a hostage. He referenced Jason's bout with serious illness and played a couple of bars of Soul on Fire. Not sure if the link work...
