Johnny Halifax follow up to Acid Bluus also due out this year too, I believe. This is on the top of my list. Has anyone made it to one of their shows? The only ones I've seen are in London town and a bit of a trek for me. There seems to be two shows lined up...one in London and one in Bradford. Doa...

New Six Organs of Admittance LP due out in April. He's also pimped up his website and seems to be suggesting more to come. New releases will be cool ...maybe shows and tours? Johnny Halifax and The Invocations - Mountain Dub played by Gideon Coe on 6 music this morning. Heard it in the car without knowing who it was...but pretty much knew who it was. Sounded very like Spiritualized. I believe the LP will.be out soon. Something to look forward to.

Not enough in this for me. I've also got the 3x12" box set and still like that. Don't remember having any issues with how it played either. Not even sure I'm that keen on the arm imagery either, certainly not enough to have a t-shirt or mug with it on it. A complete pass from me.

The Eels - Epic Studios, Norwich This was a fairly late find for me and was really glad I caught it. A fun gig. Lots of staged banter but rather than being cringey, it came over endearing. Maybe I'm getting old. The sound was great and the band sounded awesome. Guitarist, The Chet, really stood out ...

Pricewise, there wouldn't be much difference between the inspire upgrade, new tonearm and cartridge than it would be for a new RP6 or Clearaudio Concep...

Well done, Laz. Very timely posting as I was trying to find my copy of the CDs a couple of weeks ago and no sign of them.

Re: New turntable and record collecting in general

I've been looking to upgrade my system starting with the turntable. I have an older Planar 3 at the moment but I've been looking at the newer P3 as well as the RP6 or the Clearaudio but as yet I haven't visited a store or tried a demo. I'm on holiday for the next couple of weeks but intend to start ...

Everyone is allowed an opinion but that doesn't mean we have to have it forced on us. He was a difficu...
