Does anyone else think that even having this discussion is kinda ridiculous? I mean, we're talking about the Velvet Underground here. it is ridiculous, a bit like asking: who loves the sun ? there is quite a bit of VU footage out there. I just got A Symphony Of Sound shot by Andy Warhol in 1966 or ...

Anyone listened to the Half-alive album by suicide? Worth getting? it's definately worth getting if you like the first album. The sound is pretty good, mine's on clear vinyl so the CD should sound more than ok. I haven't played it for years but from what I remember I would recomend it for sure. The...

Revolutionary Corps of Teenage Jesus (whose Frankie Teardrop remix is ear-bleedingly good). I heard John Peel play a song which was a Suicide cover/remix in the mid 90's. I'm wondering if this is it but I'm pretty sure the song he played wasn't Frankie Teardrop. I only heard it once and it was awes...

the so called 'Real Complete Works' (ahem, nice title btw) contains at least a dozen or more copyrighted songs. Even if Anyway That You Want Me, Feel So Sad CD singles, promo's whatever have long been deleted doesn't mean you are not breaking the law by offering them for free. I'd be happy to give a...

The picture shown on Amazon for the cover is awful but I don't believe it was ever intended by the author for the finished product to look like this. But when people attack the name of Goodchild (mind you, being called 'Ian Goodprick' was curiously flattering, and entirely apropos)...hell, that's going too far. And to say that the name 'reeks of pomposity' that's taking things even further than too far. [BTW: My surname dates back to the 12th Ce...

The Stones' Shine a Light features the chords F, C, G in sequence during the chorus. Spiritualized's version goes F, C, G. :) Aside from that I don't think there's much connection...
