Torrents

The best BitTorrent Program that I've found is "Shadow's experimental client", do a search for that, download the program (I think it's version 5.8.11 or something). Then tell your PC to open the .torrent with that program.

Software

What software do you use to make cds at the minute? I'm using Nero 6, and I know that supports the format here, no problem at all, so it's simply a matter of burning it to cd. Also, if you do a search for .flac or .shn playback, you should be able to get plug-ins for Windows Media Player that will l...

Shops

I'm not *that* keen on Forever Changes, I can never find anything worth getting there.

Worth a mention are two Newcastle shops, Steel Wheels and RPM.

Downloadable gig

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but there's a Spacemen 3 gig up on Sharing the Groove...

I can't find the link right now, but if you go to http://www.sharingthegroove.org and do a search for Spacemen 3 then it should be the first result.

When I try to play it on either my PC or my X Box, there are clicks in the middle of songs, if the songs play at all. It works fine in every hi-fi I try though, and I read somewhere that it was due to the copy-protection.

It's a UK copy, bought in WH Smith.

Anti-piracy measures.

Is there any way of getting around the anti-piracy features of CW Volume 1?

I want to rip the album onto my mp3 player, but it doesn't like playing on my PC.

Six by Seven

The "Bochum" single was pretty damned smart, and I'm looking forward to see where they go from here. They're one of those bands that'll never ever make it, as such, but if they carry on making solid albums then I'll be chuffed. Shame that they lost the little guitarist fella though, he was...

I'm not too sure of it off the top of my head, those strobe lights probably melted it from my memory, but it seems to have been the same as the previous gigs on this tour...the gig was pretty damned good, like, I was glad it was on in Stage 2 as well.

Storage.

I've got a 60 GB Zen, and I would much rather get 16000 mp3s there than 300 .shn files.

I understand that tapers want their original quality retained wherever possible, but I don't see that mp3 is *that* bad compared to the loss-less formats.

80 minutes.

80 minutes.

One blank CD.

That's all you've got to convince someone that Spiritualized are the greatest band around.

How would you do it? What's your tracklisting? Suggestions below.

(Better be quick, I need to send her this CD-R ASAP, heh...)

Going slightly off-topic...

...but Lost in Translation is utterly excellent!

I think I'm in love with Scarlett Johansson.

The soundtrack CD is worth buying...it's got Bill Murray's cover of "More than this" as a bonus track...

Consider this me putting myself in the list, I'm in the UK and would prefer to deal with other UK-ers on this.

I'd like to get the cds via torrents as well, I think that could be easier.

Separate trees for UK and US

Hi there, I've just joined the board, so had a quick look around first, and saw that there's a "Complete Works" tree going on...are there separate ones for UK and for the US? Obviously the postage of 5 sets of cds won't exactly be cheap - I'd like to get involved though, there were a few t...
