Yep agree on all that. Swap out a couple of songs, give the whole thing a remix (it sounds a bit shiny and for want of a better word 'plastic') and you have one fine record. Forth could've been a great record with better song selection also; somewhere between jamming in the rehearsal room and final product the excitement got ironed out in the mix. Richard seemingly being a proper Dick at the time also overshadows it somewhat.

Wasn't sure of best place to put this? But Nick McCabe had finally released some new music, and it includes Pete on drums. And there's a new album soon, fingers crossed it's a corker. Loads of new tunes went up on YouTube last year and they were pretty decent in the main :) If you get chance go see them live. I know they can be patchy but maybe I got lucky but I've seen them 5 times and they always put on a really good ...

I think all their albums have at least 2/3 really good tunes but some are more weighed down with filler / chaff than others . Bravery Repetition Noise , Who Killed Sgt Pepper, And This Is Our Music for example. Satanic Majesties 2nd starts great but gets boring quickly as does the "electronic o...

Overall I am undecided whether this album is better than And Nothing Hurt yet. It's difficult not to see them as two parts of that proposed double album. Such similar production. ANH has more naff songs on it but EWB seems so damn short. Still, as a twosome the best work since LICD for me. Wha....?...
