I think your previous mention of Horse Lords made me check them out actually, the album I tried first (The Common Task) didn't fully convince me, there were a fair few bits I didn't like. but then tried Comradely Objects and really enjoyed it. would definitely take the chance the see them live. seem...

I prefer the last 2 albums myself. for me I don't think it's the change of direction per se (would be a bit redundant if they were just repeating the early shoegaze sound) but as I say, I just think the change has gone down a road that's not for me. Re: What Are You Listening To Now?

a recent new discovery for me- Big Brave. super heavy guitars and female vocals, vaguely reminiscent of Bardo Pond but more grinding and industrial.

Re: What gigs have you got coming up?

local promoters round these parts really seem to have upped their game recently- got some good stuff in coming weeks, names I recognise from the lower end of psych fest lineups. Juju, The KVB, Omni. Also Sunn 0))) might give them another chance after being underwhemled seeing them once before. It's ...

Re: What gigs have you just been to?

realised I forgot to post about the Modern Nature gig I went to a few weeks ago. I actually got a free ticket as the venue put out a monthly email with free tickets to certain shows (presumably the ones that aren't selling too well). actually a decent crowd in the end. not sure how to describe the b...

Re: Spaceman Reissue Program: Volume 2 (Amazing Grace Reissue)

that's interesting if it's the case, as I took that the bands belief was that remastering was not needed when reissuing the bands catalogue. I recall from the first Ladies & Gents reissue (with the boxset) "I listened to it again and it still sounded fuckin amazing" or something

Re: NEW RIDE

Yeah agree, i mean it's okay but nothing great. Some of the shimmery guitar is nice but it's true that it is a bit close to modern dreampop type stuff

And yeah i would not say i generally go to Ride for incisive lyrics!

Re: Under the Radar interview

Thanks for this, enjoyed reading it. Seems a new album is in the works but a way off yet.
Seems like a real ballache to tour in europe currently, no surprise.

Re: NEW RIDE

yup, not to mention Glok, and Andy's work with Masal, Pye Corner Audio etc.

thanks for the article! seems like I remembered it accurately enough. I would rather the kraut jams to be honest :) but I will keep an open mind.

Catatonic Suns https://catatonicsuns.bandcamp.com/album/catatonic-suns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9wd5MsRspU I reckon they might be up the street of some of the folks here, definite vibes of Storm in Heaven Verve but with a heavier grungy vibe mixed in. Enjoyed the Catatonic Suns. Reminded me...
