Re: Denver (Englewood) @ The Gothic

What a great show. The Gothic was the perfect size to capture the sound and energy of this band. We were standing up close enough to be more in the sound of the stage than the sound of the PA, which was really interesting... it made things sound way more raw, and the feeling was really intimate. I w...

Re: Slowdive - New North American Dates 2017

Amazing show in Denver... I've never heard the Ogden sound so good... helped that I stood directly in front of the sound guy, but that is the best place to watch a show in that venue... I won't avoid it so often anymore... Afterwards, milling about waiting for people to file out, a dude walked by in...

Just found some pictures of this show... needless to say, it was one of the best show's I've ever been to at one of my favourite venues in the Country... Re: Spz in Sonoma - 10/16/2017

Anyone going to this show and want to carpool from SF (we'll be originating at Civic Center).

Our current plan is to either take a stupid rideshare each way, or take the 101 bus up and rideshare back after the show.

Re: Pappy & Harriets, Pioneer Town - 4/16/2013

Well I'll go ahead and say this was 1) the best Spiritualized show I've ever seen (only seen them since 2008 A&E tour...) 2) the best show I've seen at Pappy and Harriets (in 6 years of going there) so it must be 3) the best show I've ever seen... I think I found the best spot to experience this...

re. that review of the show - first, bad photos, and second - was the guy standing off to one side??? sure seems like it as he only got photos of jason from stage right, and could only hear one guitar!!!

I was standing in the center and the mix was great the whole time...

As it says in the subject, if this is how they sound on night 1, everyone on the rest of the tour is in for a real treat. Who is this band? I mean...I miss the guy from England, but man...there's something fresh and raw about these guys that Jason and Doggen are working *very* well with... The singe...

Re: Belly Up - May 21st, 2012

Having seen the Chicago and Detroit shows (care of Spzretent / Alan in Detroit), I can say that this was a very special show... Where I was standing, the sound was huge - perfect in tone and volume, full of everything, and that's how they kicked off the show - a great Spaceman Jam before getting int...

Bradford Cox / LA / Lay Back in the Sun

the echo show in LA: what are the ramifications of that show on music? bradford cox was present as DJ before the show. i told him out front, that his music makes me 'so excited for new music', etc. etc. good chat. i think he is a genius, and has got something good going on with his music, be it deer...

Re: The Echo, experiences

Yes, you could NOT beat that show. I was the tall guy 2nd from the front just behind the REALLY tall guy. But we had been there since literally 1pm. He proved very useful for a brace as my soul kept trying to leap out of my body and onto the stage. I had to hold myself up somehow, and he was graciou...
