Have you checked out Discogs? It's got a lot of info regarding release dates and stuff, it might help you as far as chronology of releases goes. Surely they made more than 2000 of these. I know there were two versions, one in a digipack with a couple of extra tracks, and a regular release in a jewel case. I think. Maybe the digipack was limited to 2000? But I've seen this release used everywhere. I've probably stumbled across 15 or more used...

All albums mentioned are terrific and should be required listening for any fan of Spiritualized's orchestrational side.


Sometimes they remind me of a less dramatic Sigur Ros, but they're really in a world of their own. Gorgeous, sweet swells of sound.

I think A&E is better in theory, and it is certainly more ambitious.

But Condemned Buildings sneaks into the stereo far more often. I can listen to it any old time, whereas with a lot of the other albums mentioned, I have to be in a certain mood for them.

The news is that we are now firmly in the beginning of the long silence/gap between Spiritualized releases. Count on an announcement of new album recording plans in about a year, an announcement of the new album's release in two years, and the actual release in five years.
