Re: Upcoming gigs
I was really hoping for a bit of a change of set list for their show at the Brighton Festival next month but I think I’m kidding myself really. I expect it’s not going to be that dramatically different considering last night’s setlist is almost exactly the same as when I last saw them in Brighton tw...

Re: Slipstream - Retrospective
I’ve actually been approached to put this album out on vinyl. As with many micro labels, the one I run (Drone Rock Records) has been hit by a mixture of Brexit, an increase in manufacturing costs and customers simply not having the funds they once had to spend on luxuries like vinyl. Therefore I hav...

The Smile supported by James Holden in Brighton tonight - very much looking forward to it! Might be the closest my lad (who absolutely loves them) ever gets to seeing Radiohead in the flesh - even they don't actually do any 'head songs on this tour. It's certainly a brave move of them to go on after Mogwai but surely Mogwai are going to blow them away. I gave Lankum a quick listen after they got album of the year from Norman and Resident. Took Mrs Shines with me to see Mogwai at the Brighton Dome a couple of weeks ago and they were incredible. Light show, sound, set list were all spot on.
