Anybody seen a US retailer offering a pre-order for this yet? All I've seen so far are UK-based and the shipping costs are a bit of a deterrent... Well, as another whose favourite LP is LGM (by anyone, not just Spiritualized), I've long ago realized we're not getting another one of those. And yes, the ballads are more "traditional" ballads than, say, "You Know It's True". And the spacier side of things (my favourite element...

Re: i-tunes festival [cannae wait]

I know conspiracy theories are not required and there's nothing sinister going on, but I am a wee bit curious about what the "techinical difficulties" could be? The iTunes Store has been functioning for long enough now to have removed all the glitches from this simple process: 1. Record co...

Re: Songs in A&E - Editions

I must say, this part of the eBay listing made me chuckle/groan: "It has all the flow of previous Spiritualized classics, only here there is no hiding behind studio effects, or screaming tornados of guitar feedback." There's been a similar quote for every Spiritualized record that came aft...

Re: Radio play tonight, March 17th

I've loved this song since I first heard it on one of the recordings of the Acoustic Mainlines tour. I loved it even more when I got to experience it live at the Toronto show. And now? Good God, what a great track! When I first heard it, I though that it had great potential to be a hit. I never seem...

Re: i-Tunes Festival, March 2nd

If the 2007 iTunes Festival is anything to go by, the various EPs were available in the iTunes store starting about a month after the Festival began. The 2007 Festival took place in July and the iTunes Store started releasing them in early August and continued staggering the releases for the next 3 ...

I wonder how.......? Happy?
It can't be a coincidence that there is a "+" after "Spiritualized" on the logo next to the press release rather than the familiar "R" in a circle...

Re: i-Tunes Festival, March 2nd

Will this be available through ALL iTunes stores (specifically iTunes Canada?) or will us non-UKers have to get this, um, illegally?...

Peace.

^You're right about "No Hidden Path" being an instant Neil classic. And live, he takes it to a WHOLE other level. You're in for a treat :D ...

Re: Spectrum-2008 N. American dates

I'm sad to report that I think the Toronto gig will be my last Sonic Boom show. I was quite disappointed with what I saw that night, partly because I thought this might be the "full band" tour Sonic had been promising for 2008 (it was billed as "Spectrum", after all). But nope, j...
