On the flipside of this discussion about certain music being important at points in time, some music which i was mad about at the time fails to have the same effect nowadays. Nirvana, for me, are a good example. I LOVED them back at the start of the 90s and they opened so many doors for me, but i re...

I'm going to go with 1992, not because of being a revolutionary year for music in general, but because it was a tranisitionary year for me. Cheval Sombre - Been A Lover

An old friend from these parts, Paul Messis, got in touch today to let me know he has issued the new Cheval Sombre 7" on his label, Market Square Recordings. I wrote a few words on it but have also linked to his label website on Bandcamp as I'm sure there are a few fans here too. https://thelazarusf...

Re: Slipstream - Retrospective

Nothing in the pipeline Stevie; no interest shown by anyone. Mark quite happy to go down the digital route as long as he can keep putting his music out.

Out Of The Blue has an Anthony Ausgang designed cover and, yes, it would look cracking on a proper 12" sleeve

Re: Slipstream - Retrospective

Yes, thank you, that was a great read. Mark seems like such a humble guy - this makes me want to check Slipstream out as I've never really heard them... I believe Veiko sent me a comp of their stuff years ago which will be in a box somewhere. Liked the bit about Johnny Marr really liking Pure Phase...

Re: BZAs Bootleg Requests...

Would anyone happen to have a copy of this gig, Glasgow Garage Jan 2004, gig missing all together from Setlist FM caused me to question my on memory/sanity as I knew I`d seen a gig at the Garage post LICD but the old Spiritualized @Live blog proved me right http://spiritualizedlive.blogspot.com/200...

Slipstream - Retrospective

I recently did a Q&A with Mark Refoy re: Slipstream for my wee corner of the internet. Discussing his musical background, Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized as well as his Slipstream years and life in general. If you fancy a wee read, you can find it at the link below. https://thelazarusfilesblog.wordpres...
