Also on the bill are The Flowers Of Hell (who'll play some Spacemen songs with him), and The Confederate Dead, with interim music selected by Death In Veg...

Tate Britain exhibiting LP with Sonic & Will (Flowers Of Hell - Come Hell Or High Water)

Quick mention that the Tate Britain are exhibiting the 2009 Flowers Of Hell 'Come Hell Or High Water' LP that Sonic, Will Carruthers, and former Spz sax player Ray Dickaty all guest on - it's one of six albums in their upcoming Aubrey Beardsley exhibition Mar 4 - May 25 (others include The Beatles' ...

New Flowers Of Hell album with Sonic, Will, Ray Dickaty & mo

So the Flowers Of Hell’s 2nd album Come Hell Or High Water is now out. It took 40 sessions with 30 musicians in London, Prague, Toronto, Detroit, & Abilene, Texas. Sonic mixed a couple of the tracks and Will Carruthers plus ex-spz saxman Ray Dickaty guest on it - as do folk from the Patti Smit...

That's hilarious, I've been abused by an internet geek who calls himself 'Muscles'. Clearly someone's got some ego issues going on! Poor dear.

Spiritualized Poster Values

I've recently been reunited with some of my old possessions and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what they reckon the following Spiritualized posters are worth - not that I'd ever part with them, just curious as I suspect they don't come up on the market much. First up is an absolutely mint Lazer...

Re: Will Carruthers + Flowers Of Hell split 3 inch CD

Yup so it's available now from http://www.awkwardsilencerecordings.com/awkward26.htm.

Dare I say it's a genuine sp3/spz rarity as opposed to 24 pages of hospital photos put out by a mutli national corporation in an attempt to have you fund the next Gwen Stefani album.

Re: First Impressions of Songs In A&E (spoiler alert)

Opinions are like assholes, so I'll bare mine: 'Lord Give Jason Back His Creativity' (hmmm, a possible facebook group for disgruntled spz fans) A&E is a great album...for people who are into Damian Rice. I think those who are into more Velvets, MC5, Suicide, Kraftwerk, & Sun-Ra inspired mate...

melodyne - where to download from

Can any of you suggest what my best bet is for downloading a cracked copy of Melodyne? (It's an audio editing program that enables you to work with real audio as if it were midi, pretty damn amazing). I miss the Drone On forum from Chris Barrus's original Spiritualized website! That was such a great...

There'd be at least a good 10,000 glow in the dark ones if not more I'd imagine - they were used to service all the world's music media as a priority act on a major during an 'alt-rock' boom + if I remember right the initial consumer releases in Europe, Japan, & the US were in the glow in the da...

Interesting stuff - I'll pass them on and see what some of the band say about them. The 'digeridoo' one indeed sounds like an spz writing jam to me - given the runs on the guitar playing front there's no doubt to me that it's spz.

Early Spiritualized with a classical element is what most of the reviews of the Flowers Of Hell album on Earworm are saying. Here’s mainly the most spz/sp3 relevant quotes: “If you like Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized and Spectrum, prepare to be very happy!” complicateddancesteps.blogspot.com “...

What? Someone ripped off the blues? God that's horrible and shocking. The RIAA ought to pursue the arrest of anyone committing such a crime.

Naw man - it ain't me that put that out or that'll be putting out the second one. Doubt the second one will get called Friendly Fire 2 now given that Friendly Fire's the title of the new Sean Lennon album!

It's a Neon Sigh/Ecstacy Symphony kind of thing. The album it's from was mainly produced by at the Contino Room...

There's two different Elvis promos I think your talking about - one is the sleaveless one, the other is in a pillbox (1CD not 12). The pillbox Elvis CD is ultra rare - it only went out to Mercury Music Prize judges (which I'd forgotten about!) and label managers. Until reading that post about Record...

Would very much like a copy of the 'real complete works' and have some stuff to add. I used to work for BMG and am sitting on some very rare alternate studio versions of three Laser Guided Melody tracks that I'll pass back to whoever sends it to me (and will add on for whoever I burn the 'real compl...
