I've had a bit of a rummage through the forums and can't find a mention of the Jugando con Fueg o album of Kember/Pierce covers. It's 16 covers by Latin American bands and it's free on Bandcamp. https://pleromadiscos.bandcamp.com/album/jugando-con-fuego-2013 https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a0272785327_16....

Incidentally, You Suffer by Napalm Death is precisely 1.316 seconds long. The lyrics are 4 words: "You suffer, but why?" Justin Broadrick (singer, and later of Godflesh) is quoted as saying: "You Suffer was largely a comedy thing, one-second song. Utterly retarded. It's ridiculous, bu...

Maybe there's no download because it's (supposedly) a Record Store Day release. RSD kind of began as a symbol of solidarity with vinyl, and the bricks & mortar sellers. (So why is it widely available online?) It'd be nice to listen to it* on the train, in the car, at a park, etc, and not just wh...

I can't find one - and it's quite common to have them included with vinyl releases.
Otherwise you can't listen to it on the train, in the car, in the office, etc.

Cavern of Anti-Matter - Void Beats
Just been Spotifying the new Cavern of Anti-Matter album and I thought one of the tracks (Planetary Folklore) sounded like it had Sonic Boom on talky-vocals. Turns out it is him (http://www.factmag.com/2015/11/19/stereolab-tim-gane-cavern-of-anti-matter/) Album is really good. A couple of tracks I w...

Sterling Roswell
There's a wonderful interview with Rosco in M-Magazine here → http://www.m-magazine.co.uk/features/interviews/interview-sterling-roswell/ He's got a new album out and talks about his life during and after Spacemen 3 & The Darkside. They asked me to play bass back in 1982. Pete [Kember aka Sonic ...

Re: SOUND OF CONFUSION
I'm in. Especially as I could walk there. Bob Lamb, who recorded the album, recently sold up and left Highbury Studio, which is probably just as well as he and the band didn't get on particularly well during the recording of SoC, by all accounts. Here's a link to the studio → http://highburystudio.c...

It must be deliberate... the "Spaceman" guitar strap, the pullover with stars all over it, the galaxy backdrop... and a Mars amp!

Spiritualized at Moseley Folk Festival
Set was pretty much the same as the other festivals this summer, only a bit a shorter and they started off with Hey Jane (after a rusty first verse of So Long You Pretty Thing). It meant I knew I could go for a comfort break as Oh Baby started. Otherwise, pretty good. Shine A Light/ Electric Mainlin...

Re: Fantasy Premier League 2015/2016
I was (still am) so wrapped up in The Ashes, I forgot all about the early start of the Prem.
(Nice of England to wrap up victory over Australia about an hour before the Prem kicked off.)
I've joined the league a week late.
I'll be happy just to avoid relegation.

Hey Laz
I've not heard that Dean & Britta song before, it's lush.
I suspect JP has, though. The new(ish) Spiritualized track "Perfect Miracle" is very similar.

Re: 25 Glorious Years
this might help...an advert which appeared in the music press that year. Quality isn't great as I photocopied the ad on to A4 (I think it was a full page ad) and then coloured it in :? It says June 18th but, as runcible says, there may have been a delay. Advert also includes tour dates, suggesting t...
