Is anyone familiar with him? My friend has got us tickers to see him next month. From all the reviews I've read he sounds pretty cool.

Totally agree with the please lord put a tiny little spring in my step line. Also love the electricity single b-side when shine a light kicks in and then seamlessly goes into my favourite version of electric mainline.

Re: First time you saw spz/how listening makes you feel

Mine was the nme awards show jan 21st 1998 at Astoria (rip). I remember as it was my first ever gig and my 18th birthday I had quite a strict upbringing and wanted.to see them for years, this was the first time i was "allowed out" . Seem then about 20 times since but will never forget that...

I can't believe how much that article echoes my sentiment. The majority Of people have not interest in the support but if it's not for you don't watch it, I just feel bad for the guy but I'm sure he's above all that.

A loose connection but I saw war on drugs last night they were pretty cool.

Did anyone else on here go to this? When Kurt thanked the support Bands the crowd booed sonic when his name was mentioned. Probably says more about the crowd than the performance seeing as it was an nme showcase.

Kurt vile was awesome by the way, highly recommended. S

Re: What gigs have you got coming up?

Will have to get this at the weekend...sounds awesome. 8) Saw War On Drugs down in Brighton on Friday night...they were fucking fantastic. Saw them at Greenman about 3-4 years ago and loved them back then. Gutted they didn't have any vinyl on their merch stall though so had to grab the new album in...

Re: Royal Albert Hall, October 11th, 2011.

Just went for a stroll around the venue and found the stage door. Think I'll be camping myself there at some point later tonight!! Any joy meeting the band? That has to go down as one of the strangest gigs I have been to, I've never know a band to play so much new stuff. New album sounds promising,...

Caught Enter the Void the last week. Enjoyed that one. A film you can ponder on for a nice while after and an added bonus just happened upon a documentary about DMT (mentioned in the movie) . DMT The Spirit Molecule if anyone is interested How does it compare to irreversible? That film will stay wi...

Is it really that bad? Was considering heading to see him again and going to Manchester as I have friends there, but in which case will go to brighton. Regardless of venue I still thing you are in for a treat. Hearing snowstorm (apt), decomposing trees and the rest and the stories behind them (mostl...

Twelve steps as it just seemed to be poor version of electricity (a song I really liked) I gotta fire just seemed lyrically week and exposed some of the repitition in a&e. Oh baby just seemed a bit of a weak cliched song to me. Saying that, the beauty of jasons music is in his ability to find ne...

It's a really good watch, but I don't think an hour documentary can ever do the man justice. Highly recommend the book Shakey for those who haven't read it already.

On a seperate note I was considering buying the archives on blu ray, has any one else bought this and is it worth the spend?

On the basis that I'm travelling to London early tomorrow morning ahead of Monday's gig, and that I haven't had any post at all for a week (it can be erratic at the best of times), I called the wonderful Seetickets this morning to arrange box office pick-up.
