Re: "Everything was beautiful" - New Spiritualized® Album 2022

So here are my first impressions after the first few spins today. 1. Always together with you : I like the old version better, which is spacier and more minimal. 2. Best thing you never had : sounds promising, might be a grower soon. Not electric enough for something like Electricity though. No ball...

Re: Salt Lake City Review

The music of Spiritualized is larger than a choreography, larger than any kind of interaction, larger than worshipping the musicians or the singer, larger than time, larger than space, larger than life. It might be an alien experience for some people but it has always been very liberating for me. Th...

Haha, that was my question in the article. I was hoping he would like 2001 - A Space Odyssey or something as brilliant and legendary as that. Well, not really

...some very good songs on it ! "Damage" is my favourite at the moment, reminds me of "Broken heart", but there is a lot more going on. Heartbreaking stuff indeed. "The morning after" is brilliant as well, the last few minutes sound like "The individual" to me...

Baby laughter ? Whistling elsewhere ? Well... anyway, it contains the funniest lyric of the album after all. "...past the scary Jesus" lol !!

Life is a problem

I am really tired of the Jesus and Lord lyrics now. The beginning is nice, but then we get what we already know.

I am what I am

Ahhh, is anybody else missing the vox/farfisa drones ? We get the piano instead :-( Anyway, it`s a great song, would be my second single if there ever is one, or could be much longer if it wasn`t. More drones would have been fine.

Heading for the top now

TZhere are Spz records where I prefer the slow songs and albums where I prefer the rock songs. This time, I clearly enjoy the rock songs, they are very good. This is another fine example. It`s on heavy rotation.

Little girl

Didn´t Jason say there is a fine line between a great song and a disappointing one ? Well, what I am missing is ... reverb. Yes, I think there no reverb on this record, the songs are too "dry". That`s why I don`t like the ballads and prefer songs like Cool Waves or All of my Tears.

I`d recommend anything between 1991 ( Peggy Suicide ) and 1996 ( Interpreter ). Just great "krautrock". I wouldn`t really recommend his stuff from the 1980s and after 1996, he currently sounds like a hard rock artist. Did you know that Spaceman hired virtually all his current musicians fro...

I hope it will be a full concert. Tour films tend to be boring. What`s the point of seeing Jason sit backstage smoking his fags and talking to a journalist, always giving the same answers to the same questions ?

If there is one band that must have a concert on this medium, then it is Spz.

People did not talk throughout the quieter bits and I did not have any back problems even after 3 hours ( incl. support act ). I would love to see Spz lik...
