Thanks ro! It has downloaded as a 'rar' file. A few months ago I got the rar trial thing and never bothered updating it. I'm a terrible cheapskate and don't want to pay for it. Problem is, if I delete my now defunct rar package, will it delete all the things I have saved as them, or have been turne...

Veep, Scotland IS part of Britain. Scottish people are British, as are the Welsh and Southern Irelanders. They are not, however, English. UK innit. lol. Southern Ireland isn't part of Great Britain, nor is it part of the UK. It's a totally separate republic. England is England. Great Britain is Eng...

'home taping is killing music' ! remember those stickers? It didn't did it! It just makes either cheap skates, or people unable to get copy a chance to hear it. I agree with the point about taping not doing much noteable damage, but there's a difference between dishing out half a dozen copies to yo...

As for the Real Complete Works, I am the guilty party who offered it initially on this board. Not sure if I'm interested in doing this again as I sent out 7 full sets (49 cdrs) the first go round forgive me innocence here...what actually is the Real Complete Works?! And how does it take up 7cdr's?!...

American, British or someplace else?
I'm continually quite pleased with the international feel of the people who post on these pages. So, as a point of intrigue, where are people from who post on these pages (ok, only a couple of options, but it seems to be the two places where most of us are from)? And if its someplace else, please sp...

sigh. never leave your vinyl in the sun. Only bad things can happen. On the bright side, you can make an entertaining ashtray out of it, if you put it in the oven, around a suitable ashtray shaped container. Y'see, this is the thing. I bought the vinyl mail order, and it really is a one off - hand ...

Warped vinyl
Does anyone have any tricks as to how to 'flatten' warped vinyl? So it actually plays I mean. Or is it a comletely lost cause under any circumstance?
Cheers for your help...

Sigur Ros are good. Radiohead are shite. But that's just what I think. Like the man says, you really shouldn't give a toss. In all honesty, i really don't give a toss what people think, I was just curious as to what the general feel was to sigur ros, and if it sounded anything like later-day radioh...
Sigur Ros
what are people's general opinion towards Sigur Ros? Or is the general feeling the same as that of bands like radiohead (which i personally can't stand)? I'm thinking of investing in the vinyl of takk, which is why i'm asking.

The above was me, if you couldn't guess. yeah, that was guessed mate...but again, you got me wrong...I merely wanted to point out how rubbish your arguement was by turning your point back round onto you. I didn't mean for you to get so defensive. How can you possibly say i was wrong on every point/...

Natty, you got it wrong mate, its nothing what-so-ever to do with elitism. I'm surprised very few people actually understood - perhaps if you just listened to what i'm saying, instead of narrow mindedly hearing what i'm saying, you'd understand that I (together with many other people) paid a hell of...

A yank who (almost) understands irony?! Wonders will never cease. purespace...sh*t isn't offensive. I just picked you up on it because of your bastardisation of the language. Plus you sounded like a c*nt. A yankee c*nt at that. which reminds me...no, wait, hang on a minute, really important, just a ...

why donesn't everyone just calm down? You'll get your 'shit' as soon as they decide to send you your 'shit' and there isn't much you can do to get it any quicker, so why raise your blood pressure. And if your 'shit' is 'shit' why bother ordering your 'shit' in the first place? Damn yanks, stop using...

Don't know about the last five, but I bought the 4disc box set of 'Joe Meek: Portrait of a Genius' last night. There's 117 tracks ranging from his early days when he was a sound engineer up to some of the final records he wrote and produced. Superb sleeve notes too. A beautiful slice of history. Abs...

first things first - as a convienient portable audio player, ipods (particularly the shuffle and nano) are one of the most sexy and beautifully designed 'throw-away' gadgets i've ever seen. An innovation for all portable players. And for that alone, they should be praised. Whatever status symbol tha...
