Strange comments from McGee. I remember when that Creation Records retrospective came out in 1999 and he said he was gutted he couldn't put MBV tracks on it (because of legal issues) and that he thought that Loveless, along with Screamadelica, were the best albums Creation ever released.

I've only heard the first half of the album but 'Someone Great' is one of my tracks of the year, a bit like 'Power Corruption and Lies'-era New Order, especially the guitar sound.

Saw them at Reading 2005 playing groovy 15 minute songs. They did seem to turn a lot of disinterested indie kids' heads
