Re: What gigs have you got coming up?

I'm fucking frustrated with my country (US) right now and I'm embarrassed by our history and where were are right now. Let's just hope people start acting like they give a fuck and we can get to the point where shows can happen again. /rant Unfortunately I think we are in for a bumpy 5 months until...

Yeah, I've got their self-titled LP (a trade with Sula if I remember correctly) and can highly recommend them. Sula Bassana is the man and for those of you into modern psych, and if you haven't done so already, you really need to check out his solo work and his albums with Electric Moon and Zone Si...

I was in touch with the Alec Moss from Carpark. It appears that orders may be delayed if the order includes a CD (as mine via Bandcamp did). I did get the Glow-in-the-dark version directly from Carpark so that will tide me over. I think the Bandcamp downloads become active from Friday 5th.

Loved Ripley's Rose City Band record earlier this year, so very much looking forward to this.
Yep, the Rose City Band LP was great. I'm having trouble getting into the new Moon Duo LP. It is lovely and melodic but just a bit one-paced and lacking in any bite whatsoever.

Re: NEW RIDE

There were a lot of blokes of 'a certain age' buying the new Ride LP in Probe today. I didn't bother because I thought the last one was absolutely duff. I'll give this one a few plays on TIDAL before I decide to buy it.

Re: The Quiet Temple (features Spiritualized members)

was listening to this on my walk into work this AM, very similar to Do Make Say Think and Grails without the hooks; bass player very much holding it together. maybe a bit of Bitches Brew era Miles in there too. solid 6/10 from me. Interesting comment about the bass player. I was recommending this L...

Re: Fried & Justified

There's a podcast here which interviews Mick Houghton, I found it quite enjoyable. Only one mention of Jason, near the end. he says that Jason was actually one of the nicest people to work with. the hosts go a bit quiet, almost like they have never heard of Spiritualized before.. http://wordpodcast...

Re: Box of Spacemen 3/Spiritualized Cassettes

I can't help wondering how much unreleased work there will be on there tapes, - I guess Will already worked through the best stuff for the friendly fire and blue on blue projects? This is the point isn't it? Without knowing what is on the tapes, and what condition the tapes are in, it is very diffi...
