Really superb put-a-big-smile-on-your-face show at a decent venue that I've not been to before. How long was the set Olan? Due to a change in work schedules i can now squeeze in the Dublin ...

Re: Jason plays on new Yak album

Listening to their first album now and I'm really impressed. Definitely going to check out the new one when it comes out next year. I found it tough going to be honest. I missed them supporting Spiritualized last time in London, perhaps that would have helped. I'll certainly give the new one a try ...

Goatman - Rhythms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xi1qxY41vA Surprised this hasn't got a mention. People sick of Goat at this stage perhaps? Solo outing from one of that lot anyways. I think I prefer it to anything Goat have put out. It has more brass, afrobeat, and jazzy funkiness. I bought the ...

Re: Primal Scream : The Original Memphis Recordings

This arrived today. Leaving the debate about the different version of the tracks aside two things struck me about this package. Firstly, I read the sleeve notes before I played the LPs today. Sean O'Hagan has done a lovely job writing up a particularly turbulent period in the band's history while de...

loving the horns and Denise's vox
One of the best things about going to watch A Certain Ratio these days is the brass and Denise's vocals. Add to this her brother's drumming and Jez's bass playing..... 8)

Re: "And Nothing Hurt" - new Spiritualized® album 2018

It's over a month since ANH was released, are people still listening to it on a regular basis? Opinion changed over time? Maybe listening to the live recordings more? I'm probably listening to ANH more regularly than anything else I have bought in the last couple of years. In terms of Spiritualized...

Re: Hammersmith Sep 18 - what will the set be?

Shine a light > Stay With Me? How is that even possible??!! This was one of the best Spiritualized performances I have seen in many, many years. The opening with a snippet from Hold On segueing into Come Together via a guitar drone was epic. Shine A Light was played as a free-standing piece for the...

Am i right in thinking its just the Fat Possum pressing thats are not the best? I took the plunge yesterday for the deluxe version after missing out on the silver (the one i really wanted!)
I've had no issues with any of the UK pressings. The orange is fine.

Are the Bella Union silver vinyl copies all signed by J? Just saw someone’s Instagram post and am hoping they are.
There is no signature on my silver vinyl copy.

So judging by that, I'm in three rows from the front, right in the middle.
