I'll be pretty happy to see the back of 2016 which seemed overly full of death, illness, bad news, moronic behaviour and some baffling decisions that go with hand-in-hand with democratic choice. I also think 2016 was a very, very average year for music in general and psychedelic music in particular....

Just back from The Cure. Very weird gig with a total lack of atmosphere in the venue. The crowd was asleep for much of the set. The show was truncated set due to illness and technical issues. Decent night out for the price I paid but they are typically much better than this.

Oh dear Olan. Sometimes revisiting your old heroes can be a big let down... They were not early heros at all. They were a decent night out. They did have a fair old influence on the music I listen to though as I chased down The Stooges and Suicide back catalogues having heard the Sisters cover 1969...

I went to his last show in Liverpool with Dave Caldwell. Excellent tunes, very funny commentary and a great atmosphere made for a very enjoyable night out. I shall go to the Arts Club gig in February hopefully.

CDs definitely have their plus points as a halfway house- they are still a physical object, but much more portable and convinient than vinyl. streaming is great to expose you to new music, but i'm still very much attached to physical objects... music is special and my very favourite music deserves ...
