Elvis Presley - Runaway
An awesome cover from Elvis' "On Stage" album. There are a lot of gems buried across his many live albums.

Re: Mitt Romney
Let me first say that I appreciate the civil tone of this discussion. It's nice to air ideas without vilification or insult! On a side note I think Jason would vote for Obama if he could. :) My reasons for thinking this is that the Spacemen 3 had a song praising Che and in 2007 Jason did a tour to r...

I oppose censoring this or pretty much any thread. It doesn't take long for a thread to sink into the murky deep once people stop responding.

Re: Little girl new 7"
I love Little Girl, it's one of my favorites from the new record. Like Do It All Over Again after On Fire from Let It Come Down, it's kind of a palette-cleanser after an opener that isn't as orchestral as much of the rest of the album. I think it's a great Spiritualized pop song. Perhaps it's a past...

Re: Pitchfork : Fiona Apple : WTF?
I feel like Pitchfork kinda messed with my head in my teenage years when I thought their overblown Radiohead reviews "meant something." When I finally realized how big a pretentious scam it all is I pretty much stopped paying attention at all. I assume that most of what they hype at any gi...

Re: 25 years of "The Perfect Prescription"
I haven't been around for nearly as long as some, but it's weird for me in that when I started listening to the Spacemen almost 10 years ago, Pure Phase and Ladies & Gents felt like really recent albums that were still organically part of what was going on in the music scene. It's amazing to me ...

Re: Mitt Romney
Romney's actual record in office is overall pretty moderate, a big reason why there was such a lack of enthusiasm for him in the primaries. I think all his instincts as a politician run against alienating popular opinion on big social issues. Plus, the beauty of the first term is that presidents alw...

Re: Mitt Romney
I have a generally favorable opinion of Romney. He's not exactly a courageous or provocative candidate, but the truth is that America is too big and diverse a country for a president of strongly left or right views to represent a critical mass of the population. He's not a culture warrior, he's midd...
