what did they charge? there's a local hifi shop that offers ultra-sonic and VPI cleaning, i do it once in a while for a valuable record. I think they charge £1 a disc or side. They did mine for free in exchange for some social media publicity in connection with the event. Which was very nice of them.

Record cleaning

As part of the preparations for an event i am doing i had some records cleaned on the pro machine at Sworfish Records in Birmingham. I can't recommend it highly enough.
First time i have had any records cleaned in this way. It won't be the last.

Had a chat with a group of lads late afternoon in the pub. They had been binge buying at the closing day of one of Birmingham's vinyl shops.
Influenced by the contents of their bags i have been listening to Kraftwerk and Hawkwind. Also giving Zappa another go.
